- Installation of the QuickBooks is corrupted or is incomplete.
- Window registry gets corrupted.

Ways to fix Error 1618: Method 1: By updating window installer version:
- Login as ADMIN<
- Hover to My computer<
- Select Properties and then version<< Window installer information will be there<< Look for updates and update the software.

Method 2: By backing up the windows registry.
- Click on “Start”<< Open run command by pressing Window+R

Method 5: By reinstalling the Microsoft runtime libraries via MS visual C++ redistributable package.
- Go for downloading of MS visual C++ redistributable package<< Choose MS visual C++2008 redistributable package (x86) for 32 bit system or select C++2004 redistributable package (x64) for 64 bit system.
- Save this package << Rename it as vcredist_x86.exe or vcredist_x64.exe.
